EASTER OFFERING
Dear Brothers and Sisters:
With God’s blessing, we are approaching the holiest feast of our Holy Orthodox Church, the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. In order to prepare ourselves better for the coming of Easter, we are expected to prepare ourselves by fasting and prayers, Holy Confession and by receiving Holy Communion so that we may worthily enter the day of Resurrection.
In addition to that, we are also expected to make special efforts during Great Lent in helping those who are in need. As we very well know, the Church depends on our Stewardship, generous donations and labor of love. By helping our Church we help ourselves and our children, for they will be given the opportunity to learn about their Holy Orthodox Faith and their heritage in our Serbian Orthodox Church.
It is also customary among our Serbian Orthodox people that the flowers and candles used to decorate Christ’s tomb on Great and Holy Friday are donated by parishioners in memory of their departed family members and friends. Also, if you would like to help decorate Christ’s tomb, please call 281-256-1335. Thank you!
You may send your Easter offering and donation for flowers and candles to our St. Sava Church by mail, or you may give it personally during the Great and Holy Week.
May God bless you all and grant you hundredfold in His riches.
